Heating & Plumbing
At JBT Plumbing and Heating we aim to provide the safest and most cost effective solution to all our clients when there is a problem with their heating or plumbing systems. We are a Water Regulations Advisory Scheme approved contractor, meaning you can be reassured that all work undertaken by our engineers will be of a suitable quality and standard for the purpose.
Plumbing and heating services in and around Yeovil
We service both commercial and domestic clients throughout Somerset, Dorset and the South West, providing urgent repair services for leaking taps or burst pipes, through to boiler servicing and replacement or water storage tank installation.
If your boiler or heating system has developed a fault or doesn’t seem to be heating properly, our qualified engineers will be able to investigate and diagnose the problem and advise on the most suitable course of action. Whether the issue is as simple as a replacement radiator valve or needs investment in a new boiler or system we will always honestly appraise the problem and discuss with you the pros and cons of each possible solution. When a boiler is changed your entire system will be treated to a chemically enhanced flush to remove any debris and sludge, prolonging the life of the new boiler. When the boiler change is complete the system will be treated with a chemical inhibitor to prevent corrosion and gassing up of the system, reducing fuel wastage and increasing efficiency. A sample of your system water will be collected and sent for analysis to establish that inhibitor levels are correct and that no harmful contaminants are still present in the system, so you can be sure your new boiler will have the best possible start in life.
Unvented hot water cylinder installations
Unvented hot water systems are a popular alternative to combi boilers, providing pressurised hot water to all your appliances meaning optimum flow rate for your bath or shower. Your loft space can be reclaimed as unvented systems don’t require a cold water storage tank, and the cylinder itself can be installed anywhere in the property – even the garage, so it won’t take up valuable storage space indoors.
When installing an unvented system, Building Control must be notified, and the system must be installed by a qualified heating engineer. All our operatives hold the relevant G3 regulation certifications so you can be sure your hot water system has been safely and correctly installed.
Vented and Combi boiler systems
Traditional vented hot water systems need not be replaced necessarily, but when selecting a new boiler it can be more energy efficient and space saving to consider installing a modern A++ rated combi boiler, providing hot water on tap.
Oil and gas heating
